Hello Elementary Vandal Families: We wanted to remind you that Elementary parent/teacher conferences are by appointment only tonight from 5-7 pm and tomorrow, December 7th from 12-3 pm and 5-7 pm. Tomorrow ELEMENTARY STUDENTS ONLY will be release at 11:30 am to accommodate the conference schedule. If you have any questions regarding your child's conference please contact the elementary office at 989-643-7283.

Caring is Sharing is a wonderful organization to provides assistance to the elderly and families in need during the Christmas season. This year Merrill Elementary is doing a ‘create your own spirit week’ to help raise funds towards the cause. Your child may pay $1 per activity they would like to participate in for the next two weeks! This month Mrs. Good is spotlighting 2 student artists. Hudson Heidrich and Ava Betts. They have curated their own display in the high school hallway, and it will be up for the entire month of November. Hudson is a freshman who is interested in pursuing a job in the mental health field. She is part of both the Drama and Art Clubs. She has a variety of different media in her display, including graphite and charcoal drawings, oil pastel paintings, and small sketches. Ava is a sophomore who loves art. She is also a part of the band and loves to create art during her free time. She has a collection of 8 prints on display. #WeAreMerrill #VandalPride

Our 4th and 5th grade LEGO Robotics team is doing a Penny Drive fundraiser to raise money in support of their community project. Their Community Project planned is to send soccer balls to the children of Africa! Each classroom will have a bucket for pennies (or any cash donation). Any excess funds raised will benefit the LEGO Robotics program.

Attention Elementary families! PVO Fundraiser orders will be delivered on Thursday, October 26. Parents can pickup their child's fundraiser orders between 3pm-5pm on Thursday or Friday. Cookie dough purchases are shelf stable up to 72 hours. We will not be able to store cookie dough after 5 pm on Friday, October 27. Please contact us if an alternate pickup time is needed.

Good morning Vandal Staff and Families: There will be no school today, Thursday, October 5th due to a community wide power outage with restoration unlikely before the end of the school day. Staff is not expected to report. Students who attend SCC and Delta should report as usual as this outage has only impacted the Merrill Community. Have a good day Vandals!
