Santa's Mailbox has received a lot of foot traffic! Students have enjoyed walking out to deposit their letters filled with all of their Christmas Wishes.

Please join us in celebrating the Christmas Spirit with this fun dress up month long activity. Mrs. Zimmerman will be Barbie on Dec 13. Any students who would like to join her can be Barbie too (instead of a Christmas Character). Get ready Vandals! The 1st will be here on Friday!

A huge thank you is in order to all of Merrill Elementary students, families, and staff, who helped raise $1,148 for Caring is Sharing!! This donation will go towards providing meals and gifts to families in the community. The students really got involved in voting for what Mrs. Zimmerman should dress up as and the winner is....Barbie, with a whopping 150 votes! Princess and SpongeBob followed close behind (more info to follow on the dress up day).

Mrs. Pildner had some very special guests in her classroom today. Families were invited to share a Thanksgiving meal together in the classroom. A special community connection took place today. Thank you to all who participated. We hope everyone has a restful and enjoyable Thanksgiving together with their families.

During a week where gratitude is the focus, we need to give a shout out to our amazing Elementary PVO volunteers, Elementary families, K. O. Diamond Limousine, and Hemlock McDonald's for a successful and fun Limo Lunch day. Students who met the minimum sales goal were treated to a limo ride to McDonald's in Hemlock where they enjoyed lunch. Many students look forward to this yearly event and the excitement it brings to the day. Thank you to the Elementary PVO for being an amazing support to the students and teachers of our school.

Caring is Sharing is off to a solid start! Many of our students participated today by purchasing popcorn and wearing pajamas or hats. Consider joining us for the Parent Volunteer Organization Meeting tonight! We wanted to remind all of our Vandal Families that school begins for all K-12 students tomorrow, Wednesday, August 23rd. The doors will open at 7:30 am and free breakfast will be available for all students. Class begins at 8:00 am. All MS/HS students are expected to report to campus for all day focus.
