This month Mrs. Good is spotlighting 2 student artists. Hudson Heidrich and Ava Betts. They have curated their own display in the high school hallway, and it will be up for the entire month of November.
Hudson is a freshman who is interested in pursuing a job in the mental health field. She is part of both the Drama and Art Clubs. She has a variety of different media in her display, including graphite and charcoal drawings, oil pastel paintings, and small sketches.
Ava is a sophomore who loves art. She is also a part of the band and loves to create art during her free time. She has a collection of 8 prints on display.

Our 4th and 5th grade LEGO Robotics team is doing a Penny Drive fundraiser to raise money in support of their community project. Their Community Project planned is to send soccer balls to the children of Africa! Each classroom will have a bucket for pennies (or any cash donation). Any excess funds raised will benefit the LEGO Robotics program.

Merrill's Health Resource Advocate was able to spend a couple of hours at our middle school last week and commented how awesome it was! She said our students were very polite & they are crushing the BWell program. Ms. Robinson has been an integral part of getting it up and running in Merrill.
We wanted to recognize for several students for their outstanding participation in the StepUp & BWell program for the month of September.
The top 3 Merrill movers for September were.:
Lexi Monk, Seth McFadden, and Jacob Matilla-Gonzalez and we wanted to recognize the entire 6th, 7th, and8th grade girls weight training class!
Congratulations to everyone on a job well done!

Hello from your local art teacher, asking for your trash again!
6th grade is collecting clear plastic water bottles from now until Oct. 9th. We are hoping to collect around 200. If you are a bottled water drinker, we would love to recycle those bottles for you!
I am also still collecting T-shirts if anyone still has some lying around.
Thank you!
Mrs. Good
