We are profoundly honored to announce a generous scholarship donation from the estate of Phyllis and Frank Ernest. Their journey with Merrill Community Schools began in 1995, fueled by the pride they felt for their grandson, Michael Quellet. What started as a family cheering section blossomed into a lifelong love for our football and basketball programs.
Phyllis, known affectionately by the players as “Cookie Gramma,” brought more than just home baked treats to the field; she brought a sense of home and community. The joy they found in following our teams and the friendships they forged along the way are now woven into the fabric of Merrill’s history. This scholarship transforms their years of cheering into a lasting foundation for our students' future success. Our community is better because they were a part of it.
